We visited Lake Manyara, in the Great Rift Valley of Tanzania, during the dry season, so much of it was dried up.
Resting at some beached canoes on the mud flats of the dried up Lake Manyara. The lake is saline, giving the mud flat the whitish color.
Flamingos take flight: The lake's high alkalinity makes it an attractive home to a large flamingo population.
